Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for Vizada

CNN, partnered with Vizada has been selected by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to be honored with a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award* for 2006-2007.

The prestigious award recognizes CNN's innovation for the coverage of the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict in July 2006, using the Inmarsat BGAN technology and Vizada service.

CNN and its partners Vizada, GCS and Galaxy 1 will receive the award at the 59th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards ceremony at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 7, 2008.

*Launched in 1948, Technology and Engineering Awards honor development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations and individuals for breakthroughs in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering.
